How can CBT Supervision Support you and your pratice?
BABCP Accreditation
This is the first thing I get asked.
If you are or thinking to be registered with the BABCP having an accredited supervisor/therapist to do supervision will be a requirement for you to do so.
There are a lot of elements that need to be taken into consideration, to work toward BABCP accreditation, and finding a CBT supervisor that can help you through this is important.

Safe and Nurturing Space
Supervision providea a safe, nurturing and confidential space for you to learn, develop, reflect and build your confidence in using CBT or other psychological theory/models.
In supervision, we will take time to understand where your practice is, what are your stenghts, your goals, your acchivements and your values as a psychotherapist.
Like in our practice, respect, tolerance, kindness and understanding is pinnacle to the supervisory relationship.
Supporting you and your independent - private practice
Clinica Supervision has a function to support you, and the challenges in your practice.
Specially as a solo practitioners, we need sometimes a space to share the challenges that this bring to us, from managing our caseload, to managing referrals sources and continue to be fidel to the model with the needs of the flexibility of private practice.
Supervision in private practice is also about learing how to develop your client base, your speciality and your niche.
I have supported people through mentoring, supervision and coaching in their practice.
Is all Clinical Supervision the same?
Clinical Supervision models vary, below there are few that I have learnt about. In my practice I lean towards Proctor and Padesky models, for Therapy Clinical Supervision.
Clinical supervision models:
- Proctor Functional Model (1986/1992): This has 3 functions: Formative, Restorative and Normativem, regardless of the tehrapeutic orientation.
- Stoltenberg & Delworth (Integrated Developmental Model-IDM) 1987/1998: Focusses in developing the supervisees to from novice to expert, and ensures there is support in a variety of professional areas.
- Hawkins & Shohet (Double Matrix Model): It is useful to decribe the systemic influences of supervision (I apply it when doing reflective professional sessions)
- Waskett 4S Solution Focused Strategy Model: Great approach taking in consideration the organisational and operational areas of an organisation (again great to use with professional supervision)
- Padesky’s Supervision Foci & Modes: This is the most relevant model specific for CBT supervision.
How can an Online CBT Supervisor support you?
We can work together, whether you are a CBT therapist in training, someone looking for BABCP accreditation or an already accredited therapist. I also provide group supervision online for CBT, and sometimes run a group so please just drop me an email and I will let you know if there are some spaces.
Having gone through the accreditation process ourselves, we can work together you get you where you want to be.
I have supervised at university and colleges as well, so I am able to support you with the course and use supervision for your practice, and as managing the difficulties of undertaken such a difficult course as a BABCP CBT course.
I can also write reports and rate CTS-r tapes, and give feedback to university. We will regularly review tapes of your practice, especially if you are in training, and we will ensure that you maximise supervision and that we follow CBT principles of supervision, using Padesky’s model. However, I integrate other models so to support therapists idiosyncratically.
Also, if you are looking for support helping you build your own private practice, we can support you to do so through supervision or mentoring sessions.
Cost of CBT Supervision
I offer affordable CBT supervision, both for individuals and groups. I offer supervision to trainees and people looking for accreditation, as well as, accredited clinicians.
The price for CBT supervision for independent professional start from^^:
- Students*: £65 per hour
- Accredited Clinicians**: £75 per hour

Prices for CBT Group supervision (not running at the present):
£60 per supervision group per supervisee. Example – group of up to 4 supervisees: £240 per 2 hours.
